May 17 : GARE! Mobilized in Paris Stations Against LGBTphobia 🏳️‍🌈

Building on the experience gained the previous year, GARE! once again carried out awareness initiatives in several major Paris train stations to mark May 17, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.

The association was present on May 15 at Paris Saint-Lazare station, and again on May 17 at Austerlitz and Paris-Montparnasse stations. These initiatives provided opportunities to engage with both travelers and railway staff in order to highlight the importance and symbolism of this international day.

Created to raise public awareness about the discrimination, violence, and inequalities still faced by LGBTQIA+ people, May 17 represents a key moment for visibility and collective action. It serves as a reminder of the ongoing need to promote respect, inclusion, and equal rights for everyone.

Through these on-the-ground discussions, GARE! continues its commitment to making transport spaces safer, more welcoming, and more inclusive for both passengers and staff members.
