Gare! Turns 26: A Birthday Celebrated at Les Follivores on the Night of the Paris Pride March

We wouldn’t have bet on being able to celebrate the association’s birthday on the same day as the Paris Pride March. And yet, on 3 October, that’s exactly what happened: Gare! blew out its 26 candles at a Follivores party, on the very evening Paris marched for its prides. A big thank you to Maxime for making it possible.

The “Pride Edition” evening took place at Club Haussmann, in Paris’s 9th arrondissement. The programme: a night built around letting go, the must-have hits of the past twenty years up to today, and a high-energy team. The party also celebrated the birthday of Les Coqs Festifs, with an announced “third half” atmosphere that lived up to its promise.

We wanted everyone to be able to enjoy it. Entry was free before 11:30 pm for association members, and those who preferred to arrive later could buy a ticket on Shotgun with the code ASSO for a reduced rate.

This birthday has a special meaning for us. Gare! was born in October 2000 from a collective of employees who wanted LGBT+ rights recognised within the SNCF Group. Twenty-six years later, the pride of being yourself remains at the heart of our work, in our interventions as well as in our social moments. Celebrating the association on the day of the Pride March was a way of saying that both go together: we fight, and we get together.

If you enjoyed this evening, you might like to revisit our previous anniversaries: the 25th, last year, and the 2024 birthday. You can also follow all of our social evenings, such as the Ground Control evening on 23 June.

Thank you to everyone who came, to Les Follivores for hosting us, and to Maxime for this wonderful opportunity. See you next year for number 27.

Support us in fulfilling our mission.

By supporting our association, you’re giving us the means to keep fighting against anti-LGBT+ discrimination and to advance diversity and equality within the SNCF group.
